A frustrating Saturday afternoon for the Shrimps down in Hampshire although for prolonged periods during the first half there was only one team in it with quality one touch football being the order of the day. With more composure and clinical finishing in the final third we could easily of been out of sight by half time ..

'Sardines on Tour' - Away block, East Bank Terrace, Aldershot (10/10/09).

fifteen minutes of madness at the start of the second half killed the game as a contest and the points were pissed away for another week..

Pros & Cons of the day.

Pros

• Fine selection of pro-Morecambe chants from the young 'uns down the front.
• The trays of chips and gravy/curry sauce on offer from the catering. A rarity for grounds South of Stafford.
• The pacey one touch stuff which carved up the 'Shot's defence time and time again during the first half.
  

Cons

• The trek up the hill/through the park to the away end. A pain in the arse if your train arrives @ Aldershot station at 14:45.
• The disappointing way in which we handed Aldershot the easiest three points they'll pick up all season with a combination of the spurned chances during the first half, bad luck (Stanner's OG) and indecision at the back (Wilson/Davies mix up).
• The pish poor ale on offer in the Crimea post match.
