Under abysmal conditions in North Cumbria the Shrimps fought back from 2 - 0 down with ten men (after Drummond was sent off on 79 mins for retaliation on United's Adam Clayton) to take Carlisle to a replay at the Pie on Tuesday 17th Nov.

Phil Jevons scoring the first for the Shrimps on 70 minutes.

A splendid volley from Jevons and a fine long range equaliser from Duffy brought the Shrimps level. They then kept it tight and held out for the final five minutes to earn another crack at Carlisle.
A match report from a Carlisle point of view can be found on the News & Star website here .

The winners of the replay at Christie will earn £18,000 in prize money and take on Norwich City at home (28th November) with the tie streamed live on the FA's internet site, each team picking up a broadcasting fee of £67,500.
